I don't know what "gaming credit" is, but this sounds like a pretty good deal for those of you in the U.S. who haven't pre-ordered the game from somewhere else...

Kmart is planning one heckuva deal on StarCraft 2 this week. Starting Tuesday and running through July 30, the retailer is offering a $20 gaming credit with any in-store purchase of the game. As any real-time tactician will tell you, saving money is always a good strategy.

Q&A with Blizzard's Rob Pardo

Blizzard Entertainment's developers wanted to retain "a lot of the same sort of core feel of the original," says Rob Pardo, Blizzard's executive vice president of game design. "We wanted it to be very fast-paced. We wanted players to be able to defeat each other in under like 15 to 20 minutes (and) we wanted to focus on base management, resource collection, big armies. Those are the things that we carried over." Read more from Rob Pardo at USAToday.com.
